As a follower of Living Earth Beauty, you may or may not have had connections to our previous owner and original founder, Jill. She has since moved on into creating a beautiful organic, raw & vegan/beegan skincare line called Elaa. Many of you who were around during her ownership of the company may remember that she was dealing with some very serious health issues that were essentially taking over her whole life and putting it on hold.
To catch you up on her recent illness, Jill received an IV treatment at a doctor’s office that severely ‘poisoned’ her and was very suddenly near death. After several months in and out of the hospital without knowing why she was so ill from these IVs, she discovered she had Lyme Disease, Babesiosis, Thallium poisoning, and Mold toxicity. The tick-borne infection that had been there all along causing her chronic multiple system symptoms (Leaky Gut Syndrome, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Metabolic Syndrome, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, Hypothyroidism, food allergies, Chronic Fatigue, Severe Acid Reflux, and Arthritis. She also suffered from multiple skin conditions like, Psoriasis, Eczema, Acne, and more) likely since birth or a very young age, suddenly exploded and took over her body after her immune system crashed. The mold toxicity was a recent exposure from the house she was living in, and the symptoms from that is what caused her to go to the doctor in the first place. The Thallium is a mystery, but may have been in the IVs she received, which is why they nearly killed her. Now, in 2015, she’s still treating and healing, and while still challenged greatly every day, she also feels deeply blessed by and for this journey. She feels that what she learned through fighting to save her own life has provided her not only an ‘honorary doctorate’ in health and treating serious illness, but even greater compassion and love for herself and others.
We have remained close with Jill since she passed Living Earth beauty to us, and recently approached us about bringing on her new baby (Elaa) to our store. We got to sample several items and instantly fell in love and knew this would be a perfect addition to the store. The love and effort she puts into every product shows greatly in the quality and nourishment you can feel.
All of Elaa‘s products are freshly handcrafted, made-to-order, with only organic 0r wildcrafted ingredients that are raw/living and 100% natural. Completely free of toxic chemicals, GMO’s, synthetics, fragrances, parabens, preservatives, emulsifiers, & fillers. Of course we wouldn’t have it any other way! The only ingredient that has been heated over 115º is the beeswax that is in about 5% of the products. The other 95% is completely vegan and raw. The entire line is gluten free, and every ingredient is sustainably sourced and fair trade. 90% of the products are packaged in Miron Violet Glass (the other 10% in regular glass) which preserve and add vitality and energy to the contents inside. Miron violet glass is biophotonic, meaning that electromagnetic waves of UVA and FAR infrared are able to penetrate through the glass and enhance the contents. Yet, Miron Violet glass completely blocks all harmful rays from the light spectrum of (with the exception of violet light).
