Hi everyone!
I've been using MM for about two years now. At first I very nearly gave up as well. The results (initially) were terrible, and I almost couldn't be seen in public. But wow, its worth sticking it out! I now take my own MM shampoo along to my stylist and she happily uses it in her salon with me. She says I have some of the strongest healthiest hair she has seen, and really it is naturally thin and very straight and flat.
If you sign up for their emails, you can find out when they have sales on, usually 25% (ish) off a product or two. I order a half dozen bottles of whatever is on sale and work my way through them. It will cost more than your store brands, but well worth the effort and money.
As for the detox period, I would say it took me a good month before I started seeing what I thought was consistently clean feeling hair and was happy with the product. Believe me, I nearly gave up, but it's well worth your time and effort.
Good Luck!

I recently ordered the MM set of shampoos and with the first use my hair felt softer. Continued use has increased the softness and the volume, and my scalp feels squeaky clean. I do use about a tablespoon of product for each shampooing, twice each washing. I'll probably cut down the amount of product I use each time once my hair and scalp are used to it.

Before using this product, I did already have a habit of daily scalp massage and upside-down hair brushing each night. I've also washed my hair only twice a week for a few years now, so don't have a lot of problem with oil buildup.

I also enjoy the "fun" factor of washing my hair with the shampoo that corresponds to the day's moon sign. My other shampoos didn't let me do that. ;)

Hi Cecille, Thanks for your comment. Yes, Morrocco Method Shampoos are very different from other shampoos. You are right, THEY DO NOT LATHER! BUT, they do clean your hair! Yes, the are 100% natural - the most natural shampoos out there. To find out more about them and how to use them, please read this article. You can also visit their website directly for even more information. Thanks so much. Best regards, Jill

Hi Vince! Please see my previous comment to your question regarding the Zen Detox. Hmm. . . that's surprising, I've never found that the MM shampoos leave any scent in the hair. None of the products are scented, so a conditioner won't help. But, you could try a mixing an essential oil like Rosemary or Lavender into your shampoo or styling products, or one or two drops on your hand and directly onto your hair to get a scent that you like. Best wishes! Jill

Thanks Jennifer for your response. Always good to hear from people with similar experiences.

Question regarding the rotation of the shampoos. Before I knew anything about Morrocco Method, I had ordered just 1 bottle (Sea Essence) of shampoo and one spray on conditioner (the sapphire volumizer). I was 2 weeks into using these 2 products every day when I learned about the rotation, so I ordered the rest of the shampoo & conditioner line (including Zen Detox, boar bristle brushes, massager and more). The rest of these products are being shipped to me and still have not arrived - so by the time I get them I will have been using my Sea Essence single shampoo for 4 weeks straight.

My question is: is this a major setback? because I have read that if you just just 1 shampoo and don't rotate the line, that your body will get used to it and it will basically become much less effective for you. How long would this process take? If it did become any less effective, once I start using the rest of the line as directed, will that fix the Sea Essence shampoo's potential inneffectiveness?

I've also recently started shampooing ever 2nd day now and been pretty much ok. My hair was super greasy and oily looking upon starting 3 weeks ago, but now it has improved quite a bit and I believe adding in the rest of the products plus the proper brush will make a huge difference. I also ordered 3 jars of henna dye, so can't wait to add that in; I'm medium blonde and want to go red-brown, so I got the red dye, light brown and medium brown to mix. Anthony says mix it 60% light brown, 30% red and 10% dark brown... hope that works! I have never in my life dyed my hair or used chemical treatments, bleaching, perms etc, so my hair should respond well. My only downfall is using regular grocery store crappy brand cheap shampoos all my life until I learned about MM a few weeks ago :P

I'm also looking forward to trying the Zen Detox... I'm hoping to have a whole body detox as well because today I'm ordering a far infrared personal sauna (www.momentum98.com) that really helps everyone detox all the stuff out of their bodies through sweat and urine. Removes acid, chlorine, heavy metals etc, helps with skin problems and more. Always wanted one and this one seems to be the most effective on the market from what I've read (has a patented semiconductor chip technology). I think using the FIR sauna will really help me detox and with MM's Zen Detox I'll get the max experience.

I even switched my boyfriend to MM; we both used to have Nioxin shampoo and conditioner which contained sodium lauryl sulphate (much to his surprise). MM is definitely the best - you just have to have patience.

Thank you. I am about 13 days in so far, would you still recommend the zen detox? Also, some of the shampoo's i find not the best in scent after rinsing, is there anything i can do to cover up the smell of my hair after shampooing? I'm guessing maybe some sort of conditioner..

Hi Vince, If you are getting the results you want from just the shampoos, then definitely keep doing what you're doing. I always suggest beginning with Zen Detox for addressing hair loss because Zen Detox removes heavy metals and toxins that pollute scalp and hair follicles, blocking healthy hair growth. It's a good idea to clear up the scalp first, and then treat. Yes, with hair loss, once it gets to a certain point, hair cannot continue to grow no matter what you do, so it is definitely best to address hair loss immediately while the follicles are still alive and active.
All the best to you! :)

Thanks Jill for the response. I wasn't too worried about the transitioning phase so I skipped the Zen Detox, is that okay? It's just that chemical shampoo's left my hair extremely dry and thinned so I knew I needed a change. Since I have received the Morrocco Method shampoo's, I just have been rotating them everyday without using any regular conditioners and my hair feels a lot more smooth. I just wanted to try this for a few months to see if it makes any difference. I'm just trying to catch my thinning hair at it's earliest stages instead of way later down the line. I heard it only gets harder the longer you wait? And as far as massaging, I mainly just do that when I rub the shampoo's in or do circular motions with my finger tips where the hair has thinned the most.

Thanks so much Jill
